hi,
I think we should have a log-off sound, as we have a log-on one. so, maybe a door closing? or something, to let users know that someone has loged off. alison

oh .. the yahoo messenger sounds - a dying cat, yeah! .. Lol can you imagine how annoying that would be since people are constantly logging on and off the site. sometimes even the log on sound gets a bit much ...!

I'd like a logoff sound as well, but I can see how it would get annoying. However, it could be an option to have, like turn the log on and off sounds on and off, if that makes sense? Lol? But for me, I'd really like that.
Thanks ,take care, all!

yeah, or we could have quicknotes for people who loged off as well. so we would know.

Hey guys,
I like the idea as well.
Like, it could be in your profile, 'enable logg-off sound, check box not checked/checked'

It's on the to-do, though log off sounds wouldn't be as accurate as people get logged off by clicking the link or just closing their browser after 5 minutes of inactivity. But this would be an option, if implemented, which would probably default to off but you can turn on. Going to make most of the notifications options, new user, logon, etc. and probably add some new ones. But have no idea when.

Well, a very cool feature (and I don't know how feasible this is) could be either to have people record their name (like voicemails would) and add (has logged off or has logged on) .. then that wav file could be played whenever the user logs on or off .. basically, when wildebrew logs off people would get a voice saying (wildebrew has logged off) .. alternatively, perhaps have a collection off a couple of different sounds so people could customize a little their log on and log off sound, this way it might be possible to tell who logs on and off without having to go through the list of users every time .. just a thought

hi there. Like the idea since its frustrating when you are talking to someone privately and it then suddenly disappears from the list. I don't think the voice thing is very good since I think it would require much banduit than the only log-of sound.

Ditto Lou.

Yeah, having voice might not be a good idea, but what about having someone just upload whatever wav they wanted, for their own custom logoff sound? Then have a text message saying that that person has logged off. And yeah, turning off the sounds should definitely be an option.

Also agree with Nib about log off sounds and text messages. I think it's a great idea, and would help me a lot.
